1) Name, Age, and Location.
My name is Brett Hodgson. I'm 28 and am located in Los Angeles, CA.
2) How did you hear about Fox Company, 506th?
Former member, fought alongside for years!
3) Do you have any reenacting experience? Have you done World War II reenacting before?
Yes. I have been reenacting since high school; approximately 2007.
4) Why do you want to join our unit? What drew you to us instead of some of the other Allied units in the CHG and RPS?
I decided to transfer back in (if you'll have me) along with others from the 82nd Airborne CHG unit. This is a damn good bunch of troopers and, along with the 82nd members, I have experienced some of my best reenactments with you! Your authenticity standards extend beyond just "looking" like the legendary Airborne warriors of WWII, but also embodying the fighting spirit of these honorable men!
5) What knowledge do you have of the Second World War? Are you familiar with the roles of the American paratrooper?
I would call my knowledge extensive; though, I concentrate nearly all of my study on D Company, 2nd Battalion, 505th PIR, 82nd AB.
6) Have you had any contact with World War II veterans previously?
Yes. Of note, I had a lot of contact with Ed Pepping.
7) What can you bring to this unit? Will you be an asset?
Along with my loyalty and hard work ethic, I bring demonstrated leadership, a positive, aggressive attitude, a collaborative, team-player spirit, a willingness to always learn, and a dedicated passion for the study of all things WWII airborne!
8) Anything else we should know about you?
My intent is to return to this unit (if allowed to do so) as a rifleman.
I've missed the hell of out of all of you and hope to see you all again on a DZ very soon!
Oh - I also recently began work on my first military history book!
