g’day all, I have my uniform and just got my helmet today, i’m planning on being a medic and wondering what markings I should put and where.
I might be going to fast and if there’s something that I need to register in order to be a medic please tell me.
i’ve seen the image of the 101st markings on the side, (The small white cross) but not sure if this is what we do in The California historical group.
sincerely, rusty canteen cup 42

Trevor. Hold off on buying and marking anything until you come out to an event with us. We want to make sure you are buying, wearing the right gear and uniform items. We have loaner gear and uniforms for you to use until you purchase your own gear.

Trevor,
If you are planning on being a Medic, I’ll help you with the markings.
But FIRST, do as Grease says.

Hey Trevor,
First of, do as Grease suggests.
If you end up going the route of medic, don't paint red or white crosses on your helmet. 101st medics didn't paint red crosses on their helmets 82nd troopers and many other units used red crosses but for some reason the 101st did not. The white cross on the side of the helmets you have seen are of the 326th medical battalion which were not used by the individual units of the 101st as frontline medics. They were tasked with setting up large aid stations and surgical facilities in centralized areas behind the line.
