Hello, my name is Ahmad Aaron Mukhtar, and I am interested in joining your group! I am 19 years old and live in Lathrop, CA.
I searched you guys up on the web because I’m looking to be a member of a genuine WW2 reenactment group! I went on WW2 rps units page and saw your Paratrooper division, and I was like “This is the real deal! I gotta join this group!”
I have no experience reenacting, but I would love to start!
Your group stood out to me simply because you seemed very authentic and dedicated to keeping the stories of the paratroopers alive. That, to me, was inspiring enough for me to want to do the same.
I know quite a bit about WW2, as I have a very avid interest in the lifestyle and stories behind troops fighting it. I watched many WW2 documentaries like WW2 in color where it explains the ins and out of Germany’s grand plan to take over as much land as possible for their people, as well as US efforts to support British and Canadian troops on D-Day, including the deployment of paratroopers. I’ve visited museums and seen airshows in my area with some WW2 aircraft from the period, such as the P-51 Mustangs(That whistle from the barrel is awesome) , the Douglas C-47 which dropped troops behind enemy lines during D-day, and The PV-2d bomber built at the end of the war, and subsequently couldn’t be used. I also seen some Jeep’s in San Francisco from then, as well as going inside a WW2 battleship, the SS Jeremiah O’ Brien. I know that American paratroopers parachutes into action from planes to support troops on the ground, or act as a separate unit on its own.
I had no contact with WW2 vets before, but I was hoping to meet some through re-enacting!
I will bring great authenticity, enthusiasm and, energy into the group! I am also excellent at following orders and getting immediate needs accomplished in the moment. I would be an asset by being a very versatile soldier, able to accomplish the combat needs of the moment.
I am a big fan of WW2, and have been dying to join a group to reenact, specifically American. I also am of Afghan descent. My favorite American weapon during the war is the Springfield rifle, or anything bolt-action, really. I would love to fight with you guys on the battle re-enactments and feel like I’m in WW2. I also take pride in honoring vets and propelling those who are interested in WW2 to explore it some more.
