Hey Fellas, I am the great nephew of 1st. Lt. Andy Tuck of Fox co. Lt. Tuck graduated from La Salle military academy as a 2nd lieutenant and immediately went into the service in Aug. 1942. At the ripe old age of 19 he was tasked with teaching calisthenics, compass skills, map reading skills and various other skills at camp Toccoa. Lt. Tuck was jump master of stick #74 1st platoon/ 1st squad on D-day. He was briefly captured by Germans after getting his chute caught on a school chimney, but soon escaped. Lt. Tuck participated in all the major campaigns with the 506th and was only sidelined shortly from getting slightly wounded from shrapnel in Bastogne. For a short time at age 22 Lt. Tuck took command of Fox co. Unfortunately short of his 23rd birthday Andy “Eddie” Tuck was killed in a Jeep accident at Zell am see. Being the only son of the family his parents Major Tuck and Mrs. Tuck along with his two sisters (one being my grandmother) were devastated by the news and left deep scars for my family. I was so happy to find a group of men so dedicated to the memory/history of my uncle Eddie’s beloved Fox Co. Lt. Tuck loved his company and serving his country just as his father had. I’m on a mission to preserve his memory. After recently discovering Terry Poyser’s fantastic book I have a new appreciation for the men of Fox. I have many interesting artifacts i would love to share and I am craving more information on this great company of men. I obviously never met my uncle, but he was a legend in my family. Thank you all for taking an interest in these men of Fox it still means a lot to the families. Best, Ryan
P.S. If anyone still has contact with Terry please give him my thanks for his great book. My father and his sister have a copy and are reading it currently.

Ryan
I was so pleased to read your touching tribute to Lt. Andrew Edward Tuck. And even more pleased, because he is also my great uncle and I too am currently researching the steps he made as a member of Fox Company. I could have written the words you wrote myself. I am headed to Sainte Mere Eglise in June and would be happy to share notes/pictures from my visit. I am assuming that you are Colleen's grandson - Andy's son. I am Lorna's granddaughter - Mary's daughter. I have reached out privately to connect via this forum. Hopefully, we can share information and reunite in our love of this great patriot and his fellow brothers in arms. Thank you to this community for oddly putting us together.
