My name is Steven Silvestro, I am 20 years old and I’m currently stationed at Camp Pendleton MCB. I found your unit through my own research online. I started reenacting when I was 14 in Northeast Ohio with an 83rd I&R unit at events like the DDay Ohio Conneaut Reenactment, The Bridge at Remagen in Tidioute, PA, Fort Indiantown Gap in PA and WW2 Weekend in Reading PA . Since then I have also done 101st ABN, USN on the USS Cod in Cleveland Ohio, WWI US Infantry, and USMC with the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, TX. After reviewing the site information for the units on the CHG webpage, I decided to contact your unit because it stood out as well organized and dedicated to authenticity. After studying WWII for most of my life as a hobby I feel I have a strong grasp of its general history and the tactics and details of a combat environment in the Second World War. I am familiar with the training and technical/ tactical skills of the Parachute Infantry, as well as the tactical advantage that they brought to the battlefield. In my previous reenacting experience I have met with many WWII vets to include Joe Lesniewski, Bill Guarnere, and Babe Heffron. I have experience in working on WWII jeeps and other period vehicles. I am enlisted in the Marine Corps and have received an extensive amount of tactical training that could have the potential to contribute to youe unit. Being that I am active duty, my responsibilities to the Marine Corps is highly unpredictable and may interfere with my ability to attend certain events. If this will cause a problem with my gaining membership I fully understand. Gear should not be an issue. I have an Airborne kit in Ohio that I plan to ship out here shortly. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your reply.

Welcome to the forum. One of the NCOs will be along shortly. In the meantime, read up on here. AD is not a problem. We have many Vet members.

Welcome Steven
I am the supply sergeant for our unit but it sounds like you may not need me
None the less, if there is anything you require when you decide to come out, just PM me
Your background is impressive and we're certain you'll enjoy this group
As Doc mentioned we are big on a recruit getting familiar with the site
So get in as much as you can
We have members all over the state of California so you should be able to drive out with someone
Our next event is in March, so if you feel up to it we'd be glad to have you
Hope to see you on the DZ

Hi Steven,
Welcome to the forums. My name is Peter "Pee Wee" Panacy, and I'm one of the recruiting NCOs for the unit. Thank you for your interest in joining and thank you for your current service. Many of our unit members have served or are currently serving.
Fox Co. 506th is a tight-knit group. I have developed friendships within this company that I would not exchange for anything. We hope that you can become a part of the camaraderie that exists within.
Anyway, I have upgraded your profile to FNG. You should be able to access some more of the boards and can gain access to additional information. Read up on everything that you can, and don't be afraid to ask any questions. I'll also send you a private message with some additional information that may be of use. It sounds like you have plenty of reenacting experience, so you should be relatively familiar with everything.
Your current service will not be an issue in regards to joining. As stated, a number of our guys are serving. Those commitments obviously come first.
In the meantime, look around and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you in the field.
- Sgt. Peter Panacy

Nice job taking out the German armor this past weekend! Really enjoyed having you in our squad. Would be an honor to take on the Germans anytime with you. Make sure you make it out for your second event soon.
