Last time I priced Swanson was a year ago and it was $0.55/round - I bought a bunch from Jarrod last year, I don't know if he has anymore, but if he does of the old USGI blanks they are significantly less expensive and work great. I am not sure how to get in contact with him though.
You should plan to attend the entire event. Friday is set up, hang out, maybe go out to eat, Saturday we battle all day then go out to dinner or hang around at camp, Sunday we have a morning battle and then pack up and head out. Like Terry posted, bring a cot and a warm sleeping bag. Last year was pretty cold at night.
There is a ton of really good info on the forums about reenacting, gear, the unit, everything. Check out the "Supply" "Armory" "Chow" and "Reference Materials" sections
For event specific uniforms and equipment requirements, check out the sub board in the "Upcoming Events" section, there is always a Gear Requirements section, and a section for FNGs to post up what they need to assemble it in one place (also contact Scottie (Eddie) for loaner gear)

Guys, Brian is going to need a blank adaptor. Does anyone have one or is Pop’s still making these for unit members? Also, Eddie you have a few spare blankets? I left mine in OK at ADT. Gipper I have blankets Make sure to email or PM right before to remind me |

I got a hold of Roger Smith for an order of blanks. He is stepping me up for a bulk order of 500. I bought an OD green blanket, socks, and gloves today. Thanks guys for all the help

That is a good idea except my attendance for this event- my first - went from For Sure to maybe. I am currently flat on my back sick. I can barely breath or talk. I was also planing to arrive mid-day-ish on Friday. Sorry but I'll have to get back to you on this.

Unfortunately, I am still sick. I am guessing that I will be better Saturday than I am today but probably not enough to be a benefit to the group. Because of this, I had to contact Pee-Wee and notify him that I will not be attending. I felt it coming on last Saturday - the night of the Great Air Raid Event - and now it is causing me to miss the George event. Talk about bum luck! I'm sorry about this. So many were offering so much help to get me started. I feel guilty in a way. Guys, have a good time. I'll stay in contact and I'll see you at the next one! Brina "FNG" Wiswell.  |
