Hello to all, my name is Joe Coyle. I'm from North Carolina by way of N.Y. (good move ) BTW. I thought it prudent to let you know who is lerking around your site. I'm not a reenactor. I'm a collector and an amature historian of American history. My interest in WWII has actually brought me to signing up for the October Jump School in Fredrick Ok. Since I retired from the Fire Service recently I finally have some me time to spend. I've read every post on that subject and most others. You guy's are the real deal...I think you have gotten the mindset and motivation of a WWII Airborne GI about as close as one can. Thank you for letting people like me aboard.

Welcome Joe
Thanks for the kind words
Good luck at jump school
We in F Co have the upmost respect for those that take the same challenge as the airborne troopers did in WWII
Happy landings!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Joe.
I've changed your status from "recruit" to "allies." You should be able to see a bit more of the boards and interact with us a bit more freely.
You'll have a blast at ADT. Not to toot my horn (OK, I'm tooting my horn), but I was class 2012-1 honor grad. You'll get some first-class training there and have an experience of a lifetime.
Let us know if you ever think about attending an event, even though you're on the opposite coast.

Thanks Pee Wee I appreciate that. I am really looking forward to Jump School. I've begun a training regimen to assure I'm physically ready. I'm trying for a mid 200 PFT, I hate running in the cold and winter is holding on tight here. I actually was thinking about seeing how you guy's felt about me going to one of your events and spectating kinda Ernie Pyle. Just not as smart or good looking.

Joe... we do have an east coast sister/brother F Company that would gladly welcome you to an event
They have some past west coast members that we know very well
Not trying to steer you away from coming here at all but it would be a bit closer
