.)Hi, my name is Daniel Balley, I'm 18 and I'm from Palm Springs, California
.)I was interested in reenacting groups in Southern California on the California Historical Group page and found Fox Company, 506th.
.)I don't have any reenacting experience.
.)The reason why I want to join this unit instead of other allied units is mainly because I was amazed by the authenticity that goes into reenacting. While others may see reenacting as running around and playing soldiers, it's clear that Fox Company's goal is to honor those veterans who fought in WW2 in every way possible. After viewing the forums, I see that it's all about authenticity in the way you dress, speak and even going the extra mile to make sure that everything is period correct. I didn't want to join a unit that doesn't fully appreciate the veterans who fought, and Fox Company, 506th looks like it does appreciate those veterans.
.)I have basic knowledge of the second world War, I'm not too familiar with the roles of the American Paratrooper other than they would drop from planes, but there's always more to learn.
.)I used to be in the Young Marines, which was ran by WW2 veterans. I plan on volunteering at the Palm Springs Air Museum where we used to go for the young Marines, which is where a lot of WW2 veterans work, so that'll be a good source of information for WW2 related questions.
.)I can bring a great, respectful attitude to this unit. I believe that I can be an asset because I work well in teams and I'm eager to constantly learn more about WW2 and the paratroopers role.
8) I only have an M2 Helmet that I bought from atthefront with the spade stencil, but they did a bad job with the stencil. If I get invited to the January event, I think that's enough time to buy all the level 1 gear.
