For those that do not know me I would like to introduce myself
1) Name, Age, and Location. James "Bleed" Reed, 46, Oxnard CA
2) How did you hear about Fox Company, 506th? Fought along side you guys for about five years with Baker Co, 505th, 82nd AB. Also, I have fought with many of you in the Pacific, most recently, a couple of weeks ago.
3) Do you have any reenacting experience? Have you done World War II reenacting before? I have been re-enacting Civil War, Co. A, 2nd Mass Cavalry "Cal 100" since 1997. Currently, I am a corporal with Baker Co, 505th, 82nd AB. I have been with the 82nd since 2014.
4) Why do you want to join our unit? What drew you to us instead of some of the other Allied units in the CHG and RPS? I have fought along side the 101 since I began WW2 re-enacting. the American Airborne units with the CHG far surpass the other units I have been exposed to in dedication, authenticity, knowledge and fighting spirit
5) What knowledge do you have of the Second World War? Are you familiar with the roles of the American paratrooper? I have extensive knowledge. Military history has always been a passion. While I do not have formal education in history, I have studied martial history for the past 40 years.
6) Have you had any contact with World War II veterans previously? Yes, mostly at the more recent air shows and military history events.
7) What can you bring to this unit? Will you be an asset? I will bring my experiences of re-enacting for the past 22 years. I can fill many rolls within the unit, including rifleman, BAR man or help man special weapons. Also, I do enjoy cooking and can offer my services with the company mess.
8) Anything else we should know about you? I have a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and currently a senior Mechanical and manufacturing Engineer in Ventura. As such, I find improvisation with equipment or fortifications somewhat interesting.

Welcome to the boards, James. Good seeing you at the PTO the other weekend!
I've changed your status to FNG, so you should be able to see a bit more of the boards. And from one BAR guy to another, "you always feel safe with a BAR man in your squad."

Ahhh, the sweet, sweet song of "BAR man forward!", followed by the soothing sound of my Nancy singing chorus...

Hey Doc, I see your concern and i am acting upon request. The 82nd unit leader, Mexican Bob, informed me that there is an agreement between the 101 and 82 to join forces and consolidate. I was requested to introduce myself to the 101. I have seen a number of 82nd guys re-introduce themselves recently due to changing tides within the CHG (nothing bad about the the unit, but i have heard about a divide-and-conquer attitude outside of the airborne units). The 101 are a great team and i would be honored to fight along side. Bleed

No sweat Bleed. Long ago, we had a no poaching agreement put in place to avoid problems.

Thanks for the heads up Eddie. If I get too many complaints, then I will switch to one of my most popular dishes, stale army bread and peanut butter. yum!

I think Mac and Cheese is a Geneva Convention violation.

is it a violation of the Geneva Convention if you feed it to your own guys? I think it's considered treason...
