I am new on here so before I posted this checked to see if there was anything previously posted about this topic, and thus far I haven’t. So anyways in Road Island the Army National Guard holds an annual Leap Fest for Foreign Jump Wings. It’s an international event where Jump Masters and Paratroopers from across the Airborne community coming in for a Airborne competition and an exchange of wings. I am quite sure some, of not most of you, are aware of this event. Was curious to know if any if you who were still active, Guard or reserve that were/are Airborne Qualified have ever put together a team to go and participate? Two years ago my Group HQ helped Army National Guard Team get current on a permissive Jump Status so they could go by running them through BAR, MC-6 Trainer and getting them out of a couple of birds before they went North. Just curious if any in here have experience with it? Thanks in advance, www.leapfest.com/

I’m on jump status in the Army Reserve and a Jumpmaster with a Civil Affairs Brigade. I went to Leapfest two years ago. Without question, it was the best time I’ve had jumping in the Army.
The difficult part about getting a team together for Leapfest in my experience is getting your unit to pay to send you there on orders. I went in 2017 as an alternate with a foreign team. My command, USACAPOC, pretty much will not fund orders for us to go. We tried this year but it never happened.
