I did some research on Signal Corps Radios and such for a commo section attached to HQ Co. There are a couple options. 1) Mayo has 4 BC-611s for sale ($250) that work really well. Those could supplement what the unit already has, which would facilitate more communication spread amongst squads/fireteams. With low attended events, probably not as much of a concern to have 8-10 BC-611s. 2) Mayo also has a working switchboard, three EE-8 field phones and mucho commo wire for sale ($375). Would be really cool to have guys string commo wire to the phones and a switchboard operator to connect different allied units to each other to coordinate combined-arms warfare. While this is super cool, it may be too optimistic given event turnouts.

We have 4 of the new Jerry Lee radios. One of them did not send or receive but it had power. The other three worked somewhat during the day.

My only gripe with the radios in the field was that I could hardly hear the other end coming through. Low volume but the reception seemed to be okay.

Hey guys late to the thread but would love to get a radio running for my jeep once it is field able. I also have bought a BC-611 from Jerry lee a couple years back and could never get it to work. Even tried it with another bc of the same kind and never worked. Has power but no reception.
